How do I enter?
You can only enter online via your TZIPAC Member Portfolio with digital files. We do not accept hard copy prints. Artists with non-digital art work are encouraged to transfer their work into a digital format and submit into the TZIPAC competitions.
You may enter all of your images in one web session or over multiple web sessions.
Who can enter into the competitions?
Photographers, professional and non-professionals, from anywhere around the world are invited to participate in TZIPAC juried competitions. However, professional photographers must participate in the professional categories, while non-professionals are recommended to participate in the non-professional categories.

Who is considered a professional photographer?
Anyone who has earned more than US$20,000 in revenue within the previous 12 months of the competition deadline date is considered a professional photographer.
When is the closing deadline of a competition?
Each competition will have its own closing deadline. TZIPAC reserves the rights to modify and/or extend the deadlines as required. No late entries will be accepted.

What is the image specifications?
Images must be in JPEG/JPG format, 8 bit, and 72 dpi. Colour space should be RGB or sRGB. Please refer to call-for-entries for restrictions on maximum file size and maximum dimension of longest side.
Images must not have border, or any marks or logos that can identify the artists.
Titles and captions are optional.

What should I put for the caption?
The caption is for noteworthy information about a submitted image, such as when, where or why it was taken, a description of the subject and context, etc.
Is there a restriction on the number of images?
You can enter as many images as you wish.
Some competition may have special package deals for submitting multiple images at one time. Please see specific competition’s call-for-entry in our Open Competitions listing for details of any available package deals.
Is there a restriction on the date of the images?
There are no restrictions on the date of the images.
What kind of images are allowed to be submitted?
You must own the submitted images and holds exclusive copyright.
You must have performed all editing on submitted images.
Published and unpublished artworks are eligible.
Images and artworks made at tutorials/workshops are not eligible.
The images must conform to the thematic description of the competitions and the categories in which they are enterred.
The artworks must not contain obscene, defamatory or otherwise objectionable content. TZIPAC reserve full discretions to disqualify and remove submitted entries on the ground of objectional content.
Can I enter an image into multiple categories within the same competition?
Yes, you may enter the same image into as many categories as you see fit, provided the image conform with each of the category’s description. Note that submission to each additional category is counted as a new entry.
Can I enter an image into multiple competitions?
Yes, you may enter the same image into as many different competitions as you see fit, with the exclusion of future competitions carrying the same name as one in which the image have been submitted to previously.
What is a series and how do I enter?
A series comprises 5-10 images sharing a common theme.
If a competition has multiple categories and accepts entries which are single images, series or portfolios, then single images, series and portfolios can be submitted in its entirety or in parts to one or more categories. Moreover, an image which is part of a series or portfolio, that was submitted to the genre ‘Series’ of a determined category, can be submitted to the genre ‘Single image’ of the same category or other category.
What are the prizes?
Every competition will have category winners for professionals and non-professionals, as well as grand winner(s) which may/may not take into account your status of being a professional or non-professional. Top placing for each category may receive TZIPAC medals and the grand winner(s) earn the prize(s) stated in specific competition’s call-for-entry in our Open Competitions listing.

How can I pay for the entry fees?
Entry fees will be paid online when confirming submitted entries. All package deal discounts will be calculated automatically. All payments are in USD and are non-refundable. Paypal will be used to handle all transactions.

Are entry fees refundable?
Generally, all paid entry fees are non-refundable.
If TZIPAC elects to cancel or terminate a competition prior to the closing deadline, TZIPAC will refund all paid entry fees.
How does the judging process work?
TZIPAC competitions will undergo a ‘blind judging’ where judges will not be aware of any information about the authorship of specific submissions.
Judging for each competition will comprise of two stages: (1) initial screening, and (2) judge scoring. Initial screening ensures that submissions meet a minimum level of technical quality and conform to the specified image requirements. Submissions which passes the initial screening will be forwarded to the competition’s panel of judges for scoring. The images scores determine the top placings for professionals and non-professionals in each category, as well as the competition’s other ‘Finalists’ and grand award winner(s).

What happens to my copyrights?
Copyright in all images and artworks submitted to any TZIPAC competitions will remain with the photographer and artist. However, the entrants agree to grant TZIPAC permission to use submitted artworks for promotional purposes, without further permission or remuneration.
If TZIPAC elects to cancel or terminate a competition, TZIPAC will not retain any rights to submitted artworks.

What are model releases?
Model releases are signed written agreements from the person(s) (if under age, the person’s guardian) depicted in an images, giving consent for his or her likeness to be used for the purposes as described in the release.
Do I need to submit model release forms?
You do not need to upload model release forms when making your submission. However, it is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that all necessary model releases have been obtained from any clearly identifiable person appearing in any submitted image and artwork together with any other relevant consents which are required so that the use of the images in TZIPAC competitions does not breach any copyright or other rights of any other person or entity. Failure to provide such releases upon request may result in disqualification and forfeiture of all prize winnings.

Other Legal Conditions
TZIPAC competitions are subjected to federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Artworks may be disqualified if they do not meet all of the above conditions.
The prize winners are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on prizes. There are no alternatives to the stated prizes. In the event that the selected winner(s) of any prize are/is ineligible or refuses the prize, the prize will be forfeited and TZIPAC, at its sole discretion, may choose whether to award the prize to another entrant.
Our Limitation of Liabilities
TZIPAC will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury, whatsoever, suffered or sustained by any person or entity that results from or arises out of submissions to any TZIPAC competitions. The entrant indemnifies TZIPAC against any loss, damages, costs or claims arising out of a breach of the Terms and Conditions by the entrant.
TZIPAC assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure, theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to competition entries or entry forms; or alteration of entries or entry forms. TZIPAC is not responsible for any problems with or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, human errors of any kind, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrants’ or any other persons’ computers related to or resulting from participation, uploading or downloading of any materials related to TZIPAC’s competitions.
TZIPAC will strive to keep participant’s data confidential, and their email addresses or other personal data will only be used to contact the contestants, and/or for the promotion of the TZIPAC competitions.
